Welcome to Notes, a closer look at the creative thinking, decisions, and process behind the work at Brian Foote Creative.

After more than 20 years in production and post-production, I’ve learned that the finished piece only tells part of the story. Every project begins with a challenge. Finding the right concept, shaping the message, establishing a visual language, and making hundreds of small decisions that ultimately determine how the work looks, sounds, and feels.

This is where I’ll share more of that process.

You’ll find project breakdowns, behind-the-scenes insights, creative experiments, production stories, and thoughts on editing, motion design, color, music, pacing, and storytelling. I’ll also highlight the occasional technical challenge, unexpected solution, or creative choice that helped turn an idea into a finished piece.

My work spans editing, motion graphics, producing, creative direction, color, and production. No matter the format, the goal is always the same: create work that connects with its audience and delivers the message clearly.
